In-Person Graphic Recording

Graphic Recording gives attendees a feeling of individualized “ownership” of your key takeaways, because they were there when the words were spoken and the pictures were drawn.

Graphic Recording distills down your meetings major themes and your speakers’ messages into a delightful “time capsule” that is easy to see, irresistible to share and inspiring to take action on.

Virtual Events? Why of course!

Rock the small screen with Remote Digital Graphic Recording. It’s just as exciting and engaging as in-person live scribing with the added bonus that everyone is close enough to see every detail.

We paint the picture while you talk-- keeping your virtual audience engaged, actively collaborating, and seeing the big picture, even if you can’t meet in person.

Social Media ❤️s #YourEvent

After your meeting, the doodles continue to have impact far beyond your event's doors. Graphic recording images can be used as part of social media posts, newsletters, follow-up gifts + emails, blog posts, whitepapers, webpages, engagement strategies — and anything else you can dream up!

And, the best part is — attendees can’t wait to post on social media, generating effortless organic marketing.

An unexpected gift

“There’s an unexpected gift from listening to a presenter and seeing someone draw it at the same time. Graphic Recording gives life to the words I’m hearing and plants an image in my head as if I’d taken a photo. The words I’ve heard will go away in time, but the picture remains, giving me a way to “draw” on the experience later and continue the learning. “

Graphic Recording FAQ

Don’t worry, we know it’s hard to know what to call what we do! We call ourselves Graphic Recorders, but clients + event participants use lots of different names like:

  • Graphic Recorder

  • Graphic Facilitator

  • Visual Scribe

  • Visual Note-taker

  • Graphic Illustrator

  • Live illustrator

  • Sketch-noter

  • That person who doodles at meetings!

...but don’t worry, we answer to all of them

Deepen the learning

Foster integration and reflection at the end of the day by incorporating a “gallery walk” into your event.

Continue the conversation

Display the charts in areas where people congregate– like break & expo areas and food and beverage stations. (Some clients transport the day’s charts to dinner events and display them during cocktail hour.)

Create “buzz”

Invite participants to share the boards via social media with #hashtags conveniently listed on charts themselves.

Get media exposure

The completed charts make for great backdrops. Invite the press (or your own photographers) to conduct interviews or shoot press shots in front of the completed charts!

The full-size Graphic Recording charts/boards are yours to keep! There are usually considered a “prize” by anyone who gets to keep one in their office, but you can also use them to…

  • Continue the conversation long after the meeting is over by displaying the boards in your office foyer or conference room or break area.

  • Raise scholarship money by raffling them off in a silent auction.

  • Delight your speakers by giving them as gifts to the presenters.

Beautiful, digitally enhanced images of every Graphic Recording we create are always included in your fee. These images are perfect for small scale printing or digital sharing.

A few possibilities:

  • Stand out by printing branded Mini-posters as event takeaways

  • Reconnect with your participants through a post-event email

  • Follow-up with thoughtful thank you cards or other printed gifts

  • Communicate internally and externally as newsletter, press release and white paper graphics

  • Promote your next event with engaging visuals that pique curiosity

Absolutely!

Digital Graphic Recording isn’t just for virtual meetings.

It takes the “high touch” of hand drawn graphic recording and makes it HIGH TECH, too! Our scribes draw on iPads that are projected in real time to your big screen onstage or monitors in every room.

The best graphic recordings have a primary visual metaphor strategically embedded in their design from the beginning. We work with you before your event to align visual themes and metaphors with the “secret mission” of your event, so your desired outcome is communicated on many levels - both literally and figuratively.

There are several ways to handle concurrent breakout sessions, depending on your budget and how critical it is that each breakout be visually scribed for your audience.

If your budget allows, we are happy to provide a team of however many graphic recorders you need. We have coordinated 16 graphic recorders in one ballroom for a very special client product launch!

If you prefer to just have one graphic recorder on site, then we decide together the most appropriate sessions for them to capture.

Alternatively, you can also videotape the other sessions and we can digitally graphic record them post-event.
